most of us probably received it already, but anyway here goes:

-------- Original Message --------

PREEMPTIVE APOLOGY

This e-mail has been sent to you because you are in our database of
people related to the "Chaos Communication Congress" [1], the "Chaos
Communication Camp" [2], "What The Hack" [3] or one of the other
smaller
events that are somehow related to the Chaos Computer Club. You are on
this list because you have held or applied for a talk, lecture or
discussion or because you have been active in one of many ways at one of
these events. If this is not the case you might have been recommended to
us by somebody we can't name here.

We will send this e-mail only once. It might be that you have already
received this information via other channels, you have already been
contacted by us personally or that you have contacted us before. We're a
bit late with this e-mail anyway, but we still need to send it and can't
differentiate between people that are in the know already.

In any case, if you've already received this once before, we apologize.
If you feel you'd rather not be targeted by future mailings, let us know
and we'll take you off this list.

Hi Koen Martens,

we are the conference organization team of the Chaos Computer Club.
This e-mail contains the Call for Participation for the upcoming 23nd
Chaos Communication Congress, also known as "23C3: Who can you trust?"
that is about to take place at the end of this year in Berlin, Germany.

Attached you will find the 23C3 Call for Participation which outlines
what 23C3 will be about and what to do if you want to apply for a
lecture to be included in the program. Please note our official deadline
is September 15th, 2006. There is only one month left!

In contrast to last year we use an online submission system to collect
your lecture proposals. The fact you get this e-mail means there is
already an account waiting for you. You have to activate this account
to submit a lecture proposal. To activate your account do the
following:

1. go to https://pentabarf.cccv.de/submission/23C3
2. click "create account"
3. enter login name, the e-mail adresse you received this e-mail by
(it is your unique id in our system) (koen at sonologic.nl) and choose
a password
4. click "create"
5. your account is activated and you can submit your lecture proposal
Please note that this account is not only for submitting your lecture
proposal(s) but also your way to access the feedback given by
participants
of your lecture(s) that made use of the feedback web interface.

Even if you are not planning to give a lecture yourself we kindly ask
you to pass the CfP along to friends, communities, public mailing lists
or other channels that you might think are appropriate and that might
address people who are willing to give a lecture at our event. If you do
pass this along, we would highly appreciate if you would let us know who
you have addressed so that we might be able to target these channels
ourselves next time.

Please get back to us at 23c3-content at cccv.de for all requests that are
related to the conference program in general. If you have separate
organizational requests please direct your e-mail to 23c3-orga at cccv.de
instead.

Thanks
The 23C3 Content Team
Chaos Computer Club
